Biography

Known for her spirit of excellence and attention to detail, Pamela Wooden is a woman of grace, elegance, and wisdom. She has been a saved and devout Christian for nearly 40 years and a life-long member of the Church of God in Christ. She is first lady at the Upper Room Church of God in Christ and of the North Carolina Third Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction in Raleigh, North Carolina. She has been actively and lovingly serving with her husband, Bishop Patrick L. Wooden Sr., in numerous capacities of the ministry for 35 years within the local church, district, and jurisdiction.

First Lady Wooden holds credentials as an evangelist missionary and is a prolific speaker who passionately desires to see women grow and flourish in their walk with the Lord and in life. God uses her particularly in the interests of marriage, family, relationships, leadership, and wholesome living. Many lives have been powerfully impacted by her unique and insightful ministry. She has great wisdom, and she is an anointed prayer warrior and a gifted teacher who speaks to issues that adversely affect women in today’s culture.
First Lady Wooden is a native of Rockingham, North Carolina. She has earned an Associate’s degree in business administration and a Bachelor of Science degree in religion from Liberty University, where she graduated magna cum laude. She and Bishop Wooden have two adult children, Crystal Amanchukwu (John) and Patrick Wooden Jr. They are the super-proud grandparents of John Patrick, Pamelyn Jewel, and John Jr.
